Athens – Hope Cafe

HCWhen we met Kerrie who founded and runs Hope Café, and were overwhelmed with her passion and drive for her project.  Hope Café is an amazing initiative and has proved extremely successful in fulfilling its aims.

Hope Café has a number of objectives- to provide a safe space for refugees to sit, relax and talk, to provide support for vulnerable refugees, to provide a number of workshops to help enrich the lives of people visiting, to offer aid with a free clothing shop and food parcels for refugees and it also helps to connect refugees and families with the local community. The cafe currently provides around 200 meals a day to refugees in need.

With your support, we have funded equipment to enable the kitchen in Hope Café to offer hot food.  We are supporting Hopes new initiative of providing packs for new born babies and their mothers offering essential necessities.  We regularly fund various consignments of aid for distribution from Hope.
