Within Athens there are a number of services that can improve and support the lives of refugees.
How Do They Help?
The aim of this project provided by The Khora Co Operative team is to help provide vital outreach to help direct people to get the support they need in an efficient way. In the city and outside of Athens there are thousands of refugees living in camps and squats, and there is very little information about services or refugee rights.
This project supports information points in Arabic, English, French, Farsi and Urdu on relevant matters to keep people informed. This also helps spread the word about the Khora, so that the people know there is a community centre they can visit, that will not only welcome them with food, education and clothing but can also assist them with casework.
How Do We Collaborate?
We sponsored the start up of this project, and are sponsoring its continuation. We helped to fund a large scale copier, and continue to fund materials needed to maintain the project.
